Trygve began his art studies  at the Michaelis School of Fine Art in Cape Town in 1980 and continued his studies at the Cape Technikon. There, in 1983, he gained his Diploma in Graphic Fine Art and Photography under the tutelage of Irvine Meyer.


After an educational trip through Africa to broaden his artistic and cultural experience, he returned to Europe as a commercial and press photographer based in Braunschweig, Germany. He continued working as a freelance photographer and artist in Germany until 1991, during which time he held exhibitions in Bethel, Frankfurt, Hanover and Berlin.

Thereafter he moved to Tanzania, where he was involved in development work at the Don Bosco Vocational Training Centre in Iringa, under the Ministry of Higher Education. After a short spell in �Berlin, he was back in Africa, this time in Namibia, at the Volombola Vocational Training Centre in Oshakati, from where he launched a three year trip through Southern Africa. Now based in Cape Town, Trygve has founded Aquila Microlight Photo and Film Services, combining his two passions, flying and photography.

 

In 2006 Trygve played the role of Vincent Van Gogh in the acclaimed Coronation TV and Cinema commercial - 'Vincent'.

 

He and his partner, Tenille, have recently started a new business, Tea and Tease Boudoir Photography, where they aim to capture the goddess in every woman.
